Workspaces

A workspace is the top-level container for everything you build in Cloudax Connect: agents, phone numbers, campaigns, knowledge bases, integrations, members, billing, and analytics all live inside a workspace. Most accounts only ever need one, but partners and larger teams can belong to several and switch between them instantly.

Previously called Organisations

Workspaces were formerly called organisations. The concept is identical; only the name has changed across the product, so older screenshots or links that say “organisation” refer to the same thing.

The workspace selector

The workspace selector sits at the very top of the sidebar and shows the name of the workspace you are currently in. Click it to open a menu where you can switch between the workspaces you belong to, jump into Workspace settings, and create a new workspace if you have permission.

Switching workspaces

Open the selector and choose any workspace from the list. Cloudax Connect loads that workspace and lands you on its dashboard. Your data is always strictly isolated per workspace; agents, calls, and members never leak between them.

Creating a workspace

If your role grants the workspace-creation permission, a Create workspace option appears at the bottom of the workspace selector.

Open the workspace selector

Click your current workspace name at the top of the sidebar.

Choose Create workspace

Select Create workspace. If you do not see this option, you do not have the workspace-creation permission; ask a workspace admin to grant it or to create the workspace for you.

Name it and (for partners) link a parent

Give the workspace a name. If you are a partner or sub-partner, you can choose which partner account the new workspace is created under, so it is correctly attributed for branding and billing.

Choose who bills it (partners)

When creating a workspace under a partner account, decide whether Cloudax bills the workspace directly or you handle its billing. If you handle billing, Cloudax skips its billing details and rolls its usage up onto your invoice. See Managing Clients.

Partners: create from the selector, manage from the dashboard

Partners with the right permissions create new client and sub-partner workspaces from the workspace selector (above), not from the Partner Dashboard. Once a workspace exists, the Partner Dashboard is where you monitor, brand, and manage those client workspaces. See Partner Programme and Managing Clients.

Workspace settings

Open the workspace selector and choose Workspace settings to manage settings that apply to the whole workspace and everyone in it:

  • Workspace name and general details.
  • Branding: for partners, the logos, colours, and custom domain applied across the workspace. See White-Label Branding.
  • Members & roles: invite teammates, assign workspace roles, and fine-tune per-member permissions. See Roles & Permissions.
  • Billing & add-ons: the plan, usage, invoices, and add-ons for the workspace. See Billing.

Reviewing workspace limits

Open Workspace settings and select Limits to review the workspace's current plan and capacity. The page shows:

  • included voice minutes and current-cycle usage;
  • team seats, including pending invitations;
  • calls active now and the simultaneous-call limit;
  • AI agent slots;
  • AI Operator weighted-token usage and its monthly reset; and
  • campaign contacts currently stored across all outbound campaigns.

Hover or focus an underlined limit label for an explanation of how it is measured. Available upgrade or capacity options appear alongside the relevant limit.

Workspace vs account settings

Workspace settings are shared by everyone in the workspace. Settings that are personal to you (your profile, password, and accessibility preferences) live in Account & Accessibility instead.

Archiving a workspace

A workspace admin can archive a workspace instead of deleting it. Archiving deactivates the workspace and hides it from your workspace list while keeping all of its data intact. Open the workspace switcher, click the settings (gear) icon on your current workspace to open workspace management, then use Archive workspace on the General tab.

Archiving is confirmed by email code

Because it deactivates a workspace, archiving is protected: you confirm from a dedicated dialog, Cloudax emails a six-digit code to your address, and you enter that code to complete the action. Archived workspaces keep all of their data and can be restored by contacting Cloudax.
